Class leveling system put in place at Premiere Dance has been designed to accommodate the ability and ages of our dancers, and to be CLEAR to all parents.
Please do not be concerned with the “name” of your child's level or the names of the other dancer’s in your child’s class. It is just a name.
Careful evaluation of past performance, ability, and attendance as well as age and size have gone into all decisions of the class placement.
Although it is very hard to accommodate each student’s needs, sometimes the schedule may conflict with your families outside activities. Please be aware that the students will not be allowed to change to a higher-class level, due to an outside time conflict. Should a conflict exist, students will need to adjust their personal schedule.
Parents or students who question their placement should make an appointment with Carla for an evaluation and an opportunity to discuss concerns.
Premiere will be attending a minimum of 2 MANDATORY workshops this season as a team from mini level to advance.
Tuition payments MUST BE DATED the FIRST of each month (or the 15th if arranged with Carla).
Classes will start on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. MONTHLY FEE is the YEARLY Tuition divided by 10 months (September to June inclusive). You have the OPTION to pay first and last in September if you wish.
Once choreography for the competitive year begins, attendance is mandatory!!! If families wish to take vacations, please allot the Christmas break, March break, and the week prior to March break. If your child has been chosen for any additional small groups and has also been selected for any line representing the Studio, they must first participate in the lines before any extra small groups.
Any prop that is made for your child’s group and/or solo will be included and divided within your child’s costume price.
All choreography fees must be paid in full by December 20, 2015. Competition entry fees will be posted according to each competition due date; as such please respect the due dates provided.
Additional small groups and/or lines are chosen each year based on technical ability, style of the routine, work ethic and attendance record.
Students taking their Exam Syllabus classes, an additional $40.00 per month is required for the preparation of these exam classes. At Advanced ½ Level, an additional $50.00 per month. The cost for these exams will vary from year to year. If your child requires additional preparation in June for their exam, there will be a separate fee for these extra classes.
**PLEASE NOTE** Students are chosen based on the above criteria. Even though your child may have been chosen for extra choreography in the past, does NOT necessarily guarantee that spot in future.
BOYS - 50% OFF tuition for BOYS for the FIRST year only.
A 35% discount is offered with families with more than one child on the lower amount. Please NOTE the 35% discount is offered on the LOWEST rate child and does NOT include 35% off syllabus. Any family with 3 children or more, a family rate is now available.
Students wishing to take extra classes may do so at NO additional charge providing they are paying the maximum monthly fee.
If your child does not attend his/her ballet class, they will not be able to participate in any other classes for that day. We are implementing this rule by scheduling most ballet classes at the beginning of each day.
All competition dates are mandatory with respect to attendance. No student will be exempt from any competition. This is a commitment that all families will enter into and honour throughout the year.
All students must participate in their large groups before accepting solos, duets and trios.
All students are required to wear their team jackets at all competitions and during all award sessions.
Please arrive 2 hours prior to any competition time schedule. This ensures that your child will be properly warmed up and ready to compete.
All students must be present for ALL their Awards Sessions. If your child does not attend their Awards and an overall is being granted to your child, Premiere Dance will not honor their scholarship.
Competition Entry Fees must be paid in full by the due date provided.

OPENING NUMBER REHEARSAL is MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS.
REHEARSAL will be on Sunday from 4:00 - 5:00pm. (Schedule TBA).
NO COSTUMES required for the rehearsal.
Recital tickets are purchased directly from the Burlington Convention Centre or online. An email will be sent to all families. Ticket price varies from year to year from $28 to $35 per ticket.
ALL DANCERS THAT COMMIT TO THE COMPETITIVE PROGRAM MUST DANCE IN ALL NIGHTS OF THE RECITAL.
No solo/duet/trios will be included in the year end recital with the EXCEPTION of any scholarship/monetary winners at the Senior/Advance graduating level.
Weather Conditions – Please call the studio between 2:00pm and 3:00pm to see if the studio is closed due to inclement weather. A voice message will be left on the studio’s voice mail informing all members of any closures.
Please be advised that Premiere Dance cannot be held responsible for any person injury that may occur at the studio. The student and his/her family hereby waive and releases any and all claims that he/she has against the studio, its employees or agents for injury sustained.Premiere Dance should not be treated as a babysitting service; parents should pick up their children immediately following their child’s last class of the day.
