
TRACY DAWN PINCH LACROIX
Tracy Dawn Pinch Lacroix began her dance training at the age of three in Toronto, Ontario. Her early ballet training was with the Royal Academy of Dance method and she completed exams up to the Pre-Elementary level. Later she took classes in the Cecchetti method with Patricia Bradshaw and Paula Ramsay and obtained her Elementary level certificate as well as studying the Intermediate work.
At the age of eighteen she entered the National Ballet’s three-year teacher training program, and in 1991 graduated with Distinction. While there, Tracy received her Intermediate Cecchetti certificate, Elementary and Intermediate National exams with honours, various University of Waterloo credits and her Associate Membership within the Cecchetti Society.
Throughout her training, Tracy actively assisted classes and taught part time in local ballet schools. Upon graduation from the NBS, she took on full time teaching as her chosen occupation. Since graduation, under the guidance of Jean Geddis, Tracy completed her Advanced Cecchetti and also became a Licentiate Member of the Cecchetti Society in 1998.
Ms. Dawn and StudentsTracy has begun her study of the Cecchetti Diploma work, and plans to complete both the Diploma and her Fellowship exams. Along with her R.A.D. and Cecchetti training Tracy also teaches the Performing Arts Educators of Canada syllabus, (PAEC). Tracy is a Full Member of their Ballet Division, and sits on the Executive Board as their acting treasurer.
Tracy is certified to teach ballet from beginner to adult, and has experience with examinations, competitive work, guest teaching, adjudicating and yearly recitals. Her passion has always been dance…which is part of her ‘full’ life, which she shares with her three young sons, Tristan, Avery and Owen, whom she loves to death!
